According to the Italian Coach Giuseppe Marotta in an interview last Wednesday, Dani Alves asked to leave Juventus for Manchester City and reunite with Pep Guardiola, his former coach.

The Brazilian defender is set to leave Juventus this summer, with club director Beppe Marotta confirming that the Serie A champions would terminate his contract to allow him to leave the club without any obligation.

The 25-year old signed for Real for a fee of £27 million from Porto in 2015, and though he's won two Champions Leagues and one La Liga title, his time at the Bernabeu has been underwhelming as he has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot.

'I don't know what's happening, ' he said. I have left the work to my agents in Italy and they have said they would talk to me once they find a resolution on the contract.

"If I go, it'll be without any conflicts, without any problems, as opposed to what's being said".

On the other hand, City have already spent nearly £80million on Bernardo Silva and Ederson, and it remains to be seen if Walker is their next acquisition.

The Brazilian right-back has been widely linked with a possible switch to Man City.

"I'm looking for a player that doesn't play golf, so they can be focused".
