According to the outlet, the 30-year-old actor seemed visibly intoxicated, almost falling into the street and having difficulty standing in one place.
Teller was allegedly "showing symptoms of being intoxicated from alcohol"; he was slurring his speech, and he was stumbling from side to side with bloodshot eyes.
After it was determined that the 30-year-old actor was "unable to care for his own safety", the spokesperson said, he was taken into custody.
In San Diego, the city offers a detox program run by volunteers in which cops can take someone who is drunk and let them sleep it off for four hours.
At that point, he was arrested for being drunk in public, and spent several hours at the San Diego Central Jail before he was released.
Six months ago, Teller was involved in a scary auto crash in Los Angeles. The cop asked Teller questions and the situation quickly escalated.

NBC 7 has reached out to Teller's manager for comment. He was able to walk away from the crash without injury.
