A non-musical highlight for us was when the "Photograph" artist shared the story of how he hit Justin Bieber in the face with a golf club - that happened like a week ago.
The singing officially begins when Corden plays Sheeran's latest hit, "Shape of You".
"I was quite an unfortunate-looking kid", Sheeran told Corden on Tuesday night, as part of an intimate revelation about why he feels the need to hide behind his guitar while performing.
Following a rendition of 'SING' also from Divide where Corden pulled off the rap interlude, Corden said he wanted to clear something up.
Sheeran also recalled a hilarious incident where he accidentally attacked Justin Bieber while hanging out together in Tokyo, Japan.
"I ended up cracking him across the face", Sheeran continued. He came, no security or anything, he came to this really filthy dive bar, ' he joked.
"You injured my JB!", exclaimed Corden.
However, the Canadian heartthrob reacted "really cool" after he received the massive blow, much to Ed's surprise.
"I was like "focus, focus, focus, you can't hit him, '" said Sheeran".
This edition was heavier on music than comedy, as the singer/songwriter (and Game of Thrones actor) and Corden went through five of Sheeran's songs plus One Direction's "You Don't Know You're attractive".
The singer added: "But instantly, bringing out a guitar it's a lot more comfortable".
