Cowboys CB Nolan Carroll Arrested for DWI, Mugshot Released

Dallas Cowboys Cornerback Nolan Carroll Arrested for Suspicion of DWI

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Nolan Carroll was arrested early Monday in Dallas on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, multiple media outlets reported Monday.

The Sheriff's Department said Carroll posted bond and was released.

The Cowboys issued a statement saying it's aware of his arrest and is "gathering information at this time". Carroll could be subject to a fine or suspension under the NFL's personal conduct policy. He finished with 55 tackles, one interception and was tied for second on the club with 11 passes defended.

Carroll, 30, signed this offseason with the Cowboys and had been working with the first-team defense in OTAs. They lost two key cornerbacks as Morris Claiborne signed with the New York Jets and Brandon Carr signed with the Baltimore Ravens.

With so many rookies in the secondary, many penciled in Carroll as a potential starter at cornerback when the regular season kicks off in September. The Cowboys also picked Marquez White in the sixth round. Carroll's deal with the Cowboys was a three-year, $10 million agreement. He's been playing it for a long time, and he's played at a high level. "We've seen all that already this offseason".
