"Enough! Donald Trump should not be President", Rice said then on her Facebook account. "So I'm not going to question the legitimacy of their vote because Vladimir Putin tried to interfere in the election".
RICE: I think it was personal.
Rice also weighed in on warnings that Obama administration officials, including from the former president himself, gave Trump about his former advisor, Michael Flynn, and Flynn's ties to Russian Federation.
"I think he is reckless and maybe even a little unhinged", she said, referring to Kim Jong-Un.
Rice, during a day-earlier stop by "CBS Sunday Morning", called the civil rights movement "the second founding of America" and compared slavery to a birth defect. And he also, and I respect this, he saw something in the American public that I just didn't see.
The former Secretary of State encouraged the women to not let Putin intimidate them.
"Thats how I thought about Pakistan when I was there".
The former George W. Bush administration official also suggested that Putin may have interfered because Hillary Clinton had questioned his own 2012 electoral victory.
"He is the president of the United States and every American should respect the decision of our democracy", Rice said. She praised H.R. McMaster, Flynn's replacement, and the rest of the national security team. "The principle is you wouldn't do that", she said.
She suggested prosecuting anyone in the United States who took part in what intelligence agencies believe was a deliberate effort to sway the presidential election in Trump's favor, and to consider putting sanctions, such as visa bans, on people who did so from overseas.
Rice said, "We do need to understand what was going on before the inauguration of the president" in January.
Rice described the situation on the Korean Peninsula as "very bad" and "dangerous" and said Trump had to keep working to "get the Chinese to change their calculation".
