Lenovo launches a heart-rate smartband for Rs 1,999

Lenovo Smart Band HW01 With OLED Display Launched at Rs. 1999

Lenovo Smart Band HW01 offers the same set of features that are present on most fitness tracking devices that cost less than Rs. 3,000.

Lenovo has launched a new fitness tracker in India. The tracker has a Vibrator which notifies you.

The band has a silicone strap which is supposed to be skin-friendly. Specs-wise, it sports a 0.91-inch OLED touch display featuring scratch resistant glass and U coating. The band has been priced at Rs 1,999 and is exclusively available on Flipkart. This means that the tracker is both - dust proof and water resistant.

Furthermore, Lenovo's new fitness band also comes with a dynamic heart rate monitor that detects users' heart rate every 15 minutes. Its main functtions as a fitness tracker includes recording steps, distance and calories. The band also vibrates when your heart reaches the designated threshold.

There is also an anti-sleep mode in this Smart Band that alerts you through vibrations if you over sleep or if you doze off while driving and so on.

Besides being compatible with Android and iOS devices, this Lenovo Smart Band HW01 lets you share your fitness details on social media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter. It supports Apple HealthKit and Google Fit, which uses sensors to record your physical fitness activities. Interestingly, this device can easily be paired with the Smartphone and you can see texts, calls, notifications and much more without touching the smartphone.

The smart band from Lenovo comes fitted with an 850mAh Li-Po battery that can render a backup of up to 5 days. While the band does sound appealing at the price, cheap wearables always tend to compromise on quality, something which we've consistently noticed in the case of its competitors such as the Mi Band 2.
