Nintendo stated they will reveal more information about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - The Master Trials DLC in the future, but we're happy with the details we've got for now.
Aside from the new armors, the upcoming DLC for Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild will also include Hard mode, and as the name suggests, this mode will offer a greater challenge throughout the game. All enemies receive a rank upgrade (red bokoblins to blue) and regenerate health, forcing you to defeat them quickly. Completing this challenge apparently "awakens the true power of the Master Sword"- who knows what that means?
"Hero's Path Mode" adds a new feature to the map that tracks the player's movements over the previous 200 hours of gameplay. A time tracker bar can be used to see where you spent the most time, but also show where you haven't yet explored. This will allow players to explore more areas that they haven't already, and maybe visit a shrine or two that they might have missed. This mode will also add floating platforms, suspended in the air by Octorok balloons, spread out across the land that have either enemies or treasure chests on them. The Season Pass will also include the second DLC, which is due out this Holiday. You will be limited to one location at a time though.
The Trial of the Sword is a new challenge that will sound more familiar to longtime Zelda fans: It's a gauntlet run, with around 45 rooms filled with enemies to defeat.
Meanwhile, the Korok Mask shakes whenever you're near a Korok location, to give you a better chance to find all 900 (!). The story is what excites this writer - the ending of the game after clearing all the main quests perhaps hints at the direction it'll take, and when playing recently we also looked at the land to the far North of the map, now inaccessible, and fantasized about Link hopping on a boat to help a new territory.
Travel Medallion: A new item appears in a chest somewhere in the world. A new item called the Travel Medallion will also be available in a hidden treasure chest somewhere in the world. The Travel Medallion will allow you to pick any spot on the map and make it a fast travel location that will allow you to travel there and back at any time, only one travel spot may be chosen at a time.
If you're planning to buy (or already bought) a Nintendo Switch, consider The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild an essential purchase to go along with your new console.
If you want to see images for the armor, you can check it out in the link provided above. The first DLC pack, Trial of the Sword, will roll out this summer.
