Small plane crashes in Mukilteo

The single-engine plane crashed on Harbour Pointe Boulevard in Mukilteo, Washington, at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, NBC affiliate King 5 reported. The pilot told investigators he could not return because he was losing too much altitude, so he attempted to land on a clear road.

The jaw-dropping moment a plane crashed over a Seattle speedway was caught on dashcam as a spectacular explosion lit up the sky.

Several vehicles were damaged in the accident, the department said, and at least one vehicle appeared to be burned, according to the images posted on Twitter.

Snohomish County Public Utilities District said the clipped power lines caused a brief power outage in the area.

This video by witnesses, Mr Mrs Ziko on Instagram, show cars involved. Amanda Hayes said there was a fireball after that, and the ducked down under the dashboard.

The pilot and passenger were able to get out and were not hurt.
